Protégé : The all-new 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro arrives soon at Candiac Toyota!

The last Chicago Auto Show is where was presented the future version of the 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, which received new capabilities and aesthetic additions. The 2019 year will see a lot of changes, not only regarding its most robust and capable truck, but also regarding the all-new 2019 Corolla Hatchbackand 2019 Avalon. It bodes well!

For truck lovers on the South Shore of Montreal, in Brossard, Candiac and Saint-Constant, let’s get back to the model of interest here, the 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro, part of the lineup of Toyota trucks which include the Tundra TRD Pro as well as the Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro. For those who are wondering what TRD means, it simply is an acronym for Toyota Racing Development, the sports branch of the manufacturer created in 1979.

Just as its predecessor, the Tacoma keeps its Fox racing shocks, its larger anti-roll bar, its TRD calibrated springs, its 16-inch alloy wheels and its Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar All-Terrain tires, among others. What is new for the 2019 is the addition of the TRD Desert Air Intake, a new front skid plate, and red lettering. A choice of three colours is proposed, namely the Super White, Midnight Black Metallic and Voodoo Blue.

The 3.5L V6 engine developing a thrust of 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque remains, paired with either a 6-speed automatic or also 6-speed manual transmissions. Standard on the 2019 TRD Pro, you will find leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, a multimedia system with a 7-inch display, navigation and the Toyota Safety Sense P advanced driver assistance system.

We still do not know the prices of the 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro, but it will arrive this fall at your Toyota dealership in Candiac, on the South Shore of Montreal, only a few minutes from Brossard and Saint-Constant.
